Thomas F Basta, D.D.S. - Director and Chairman Restorative Department, FACE

Thomas F. Basta received his D.D.S. from the University of California, San Francisco and maintains a restorative practice in Saratoga, CA.  He is considered by many to be among the foremost world authorities on occlusion and restorative dentistry. He has mentored many occlusion study groups and has lectured throughout the world. Dr. Basta is the co-founder and chairman of the Restorative Department of the Foundation for Advanced Continuing Education in Burlingame, CA (F.A.C.E.)

Gerald F. Preiner, D.D.S. - Director and Instructor Restorative Department, FACE

A graduate of Creighton University School of Dentistry, Dr. Preiner maintains a part time restorative practice in Burlingame, CA.  He has been a member of the American Stomatological Society of Japan and served as President and Secretary-Treasurer of the Pacific Gnathological Academy of Dental Research and Education.  Dr. Preiner has lectured and provided table clinics throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada, Germany, and Japan. Dr. Preiner is the co-founder and Vice President of the Foundation for Advanced Continuing Education in Burlingame, California (F.A.C.E.), a non-profit teaching organization. 

Jeff Brucia, D.D.S. - Director of Cosmetic Dentistry

Dr. Brucia is a graduate of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry where he has held faculty positions in the Crown and Bridge and Operative departments and currently is an Assistant Professor of Dental Practice. He is practicing Cosmetic and Restorative dentistry full time in San Francisco. At the FACE institute he introduces a partnership between gnathology, occlusion and adhesion. He is also director of an advanced comprehensive restorative program at Baylor College as well as being on the faculty of several other Universities.

David Han, D.D.S. - Instructor, Splint Course

Dr. David Han is a graduate of UCLA School of Dentistry. He currently practices Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry in Chino Hills, CA. He is an alumnus and Adjunct Instructor at the F.A.C.E. institute. He completed General Practice Residency at the VA Wadsworth in 1992 and Mini-residency in Esthetics and Contemporary Restorative Dentistry. He also participated in continuums at the Pankey Institute.

Sacha Dybnis, D.D.S. - Instructor, Splint Course

Sacha Dybnis, D.D.S. earned his D.D.S. degree at the University of Southern California. He is an alumnus of, and an Adjunct Instructor at the F.A.C.E. Institute, a lecturer in the Restorative Department of the UCLA School of Dentistry, and the author and lecturer of the yearlong student continuum entitled “Practical Occlusal Considerations Selective”. Dr. Dybnis is an alumnus of the L.D. Pankey Insitute and the Bob Lee BioEsthetics program.  He practices Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry in Brentwood, West Los Angeles, CA.

Yiannis Vlahos, D.D.S. - Instructor, Splint Course

Yiannis Vlahos, D.D.S. earned his D.D.S. degree at the Northwestern University School of Dentistry. His is an alumnus of, and an Adjunct Instructor at the F.A.C.E. Institute and completed the Cranial-Mandibular Internship at the UCSF School of Dentistry.  He currently practices Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry in Antioch, CA.
